Rima Shah is a Dyslexia Therapist and the founder of Kidomagic Centre for Learning. With over 17 years of experience, she has worked with children with diverse learning needs. Certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach and a strong advocate of the Science of Reading, she promotes structured literacy and numeracy through a multisensory approach.
Through Kidomagic, Rima supports students from ages 4 to 12 in areas of literacy and numeracy, individually and in groups. Rima also conducts teacher training programs, webinars, and parent workshops that encourage collaboration and support for every learner.
As the Literacy and Numeracy Strategist (Early Years) at the Bombay International School, Rima had guided teachers and helped design inclusive, engaging curricula that foster strong foundations for lifelong learning. She continues to bring this to other schools and NGOs to create and adapt school curricula to make them more inclusive and evidence-based. Her work reflects her belief that children learn best with meaning, movement, and joy.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief:
Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.
Ms. Rima has been a very effective, gentle and pleasant teacher to my daughter. She has always put in sincere efforts and taken a keen interest in teaching.
We have also found that she is happy to interact with parents and open to trying different methods of teaching our child. Towards the end of Grade 2 when the lockdown was imposed we saw first hand how Ms Rima worked on Zoom in both Math and English. That quarter was a very productive period of learning and we saw our daughter understanding concepts and improving quite markedly under Ms Rima’s supervision.
Of course, Ms Rima worked with her even before that in physical school and she always enjoyed her classes. We have been very fortunate to have had Ms Rima work with her. She is approachable and I’m sure we can continue to talk to her and get her suggestions.

We started remedial classes for my daughter at the end of Grade 2, her school teacher had suspected she needed extra help.
When we first started classes with Rima, she was a great support system for my daughter, her confidence in school improved, her grammer, spellings, sentence construction all improved. Also as her understanding improved she was improving in other subjects such as maths with word problems.
As school got harder Rima put in efforts to make sure that my daughter was at par with what she was doing at school. Our aim was to have her at par by the end of 5th grade. Now she is in middle school and continuing weekly sessions with Rima and is able to cope comfortably with the English level at school. We still continue weekly sessions with her as we know since so many years that she gives her 110% to each child to ensure that they learn what is needed.
Thank you Rima for putting in such great efforts. Always will be grateful for you.♥️
